The relative ratings for listing alloys and for ovelays are given for guidance only to allow the user to compare the relevant merits of different materials. The higher the rating number, the better the material. The number given for lining alloys are not related to those given for overlays, nor are the numbers mathematically related. They are merely based on 5 being the best and i not good for any particular property.
